Dear Fellow Travellers                                              

After several weeks of careful thought and detailed discussion about the future of Hosking Tours Ltd, David and Martin have reached what has proved to be a most difficult decision.

Dramatic currency exchange rate fluctuations, particularly the fall in the value of the pound against both the US dollar and the euro, have made huge increases in the prices of future tours inevitable. These financial challenges and the various health problems that have arisen for both David and Martin over the last couple of years, have forced them to reach the conclusion that the time is right for the Hosking Tours adventure to be brought to a close. So, sadly, from October, 2009, Hosking Tours will no longer be operational. All good things must, as they say, come to an end and this seems the right moment.

We must emphasise that our remaining tours to Galapagos, Hungary, Namibia and South Africa remain completely unaffected by this change and will go ahead as planned. All are guaranteed departures.

Only seven places are still available on our remaining departures:

Hungary. June 21st – 27th, 2009.
We could accommodate a further five clients on this tour to be led by John, with expert local guidance. Time is short so please contact the Hosking Tours Office as soon as possible if you would like to join us.

South Africa. September 5th – 19th, 2009.
An absolute maximum of two further places may be available on this tour led by David & Martin. Demand is sure to be high. Alert us immediately if you are interested.

It has been a great pleasure to travel with so many of you over the last two decades. Close friendships have been established between fellow travellers. These will surely continue and hopefully our paths will cross at different locations around the world in the future.
